Moore Street Market is looking for vendors! Moore Street Market – La Marqueta de Williamsburg - one of four surviving public markets built by Mayor LaGuardia in the 1940’s - is an economic and cultural anchor for Williamsburg and its community. Currently twelve vendors operate in the market selling anything from fresh fruits and vegetables to herbs, crafts and ethnic food from Mexico, Ecuador, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. We are right now in the process of filling more of our stalls creating yet a more thriving, multi-cultural market promoting entrepreneurship, and making it a welcoming community gathering place. Though we are open for most types of businesses we are currently focusing on applications for food and farm related products such as poultry, fish, meat, bread, cheese etc. Stalls vary in size and layout with monthly rents starting around $250. We also have tables available - rents starting at $25/day. The market serves within a quarter-mile ring, over 12,000 diverse residents with Caribbean, Hispanic, Jewish, Asian and European backgrounds, and is located within a blocks distance of the J-subway line. For an application and more information contact Market Manager Louisa Johnsson Zea at 718-384-1371.
